@ 17 poetically: the offer of a free kiss: poetry.

March 2, 2014

This picture is one of the few Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (Albi, November 24, 1864 – Saint-André-du-Bois, September 9, 1901) where the lovers are facing forward each other.

In spite of all lovers maintaining the modesty of the eyes closed. Lautrec‘s paintings, usually, each character looks at himself when dancing, walking, or practice ablutions. Every body is just. This picture is one of the few if not the only, where the two parties are face to face, but her eyes closed. Everyone in the tension of the kiss that begins to connect his lips. The two bodies are not wrapped, but they are in a reciprocal call, as if each of the two, looking and feeling your emotional state, wants to share it with others. It is a kiss that is first and foremost a meeting. It is a discreet encounter: an offer.

The two bodies are held, but did not grasp. The arms are placed on the shoulders to get a perspective of alignment of the two faces and two mouths. The line of the kiss is a relationship that takes the picture. The bed sunk creates depth: it receives a balance of these two bodies lined by row of the kiss which is not cut, but it contains all the subject. The axis reveals a texture that starts from the mouths and with concentric circles, it expands from the shoulders to the hands up to the base of the painting, which implies the continuity of the two bodies, down to the feet. The line and the point constitute the epicenter of a dual relationship to synchronous two feelings of attraction.

The delicate features, despite the folds and turns the balance solitary, are offered by vertical strokes, almost as if we saw them in a dream, or a memory. The bodies do not want to be excessive. They do not scream and do not require attention: they are present and ready to turn out to those who gets up and holds his gaze. They speak to those who are willing to listen to the strokes chromatic and stamp the forms evoked by the framework.

The poem is also this: a chaste kiss and ready to overflow. A greeting that is willing to be a hug panoramic feelings, joys and sorrows, hopes and certainties, melancholy and despair. It contains all without requiring that, even when she stands as irreverent poetry of claim. The discrete sentences have the road open in poetic feeling, because naked, they immediately offer all of the speaker and that it evokes.

Toulouse Lautrec in this context reveals an inner stamp: a personal and intimate desire never fully evoked in his life.

* 15 Special Guest: Everything under control: the loneliness

 February 4, 2014

Hello,

here I am. From my ebook “Everything is under control. A body in the mirror, “I transcribe a passage dealing with the loneliness and isolation. They are unavoidable and common traits of our lives. Accompany us and sometimes we argue with them, although in some cases they are looking for as safe nest or as an illusion of eternal regularity. Have you dealt with loneliness or forced isolation? It has happened in your life? Or even loneliness is a path that leads to the final silence without memory?

“[…] And in addition, what the heck, adolescence is over. No: The mirror says you’re still young, but there is an awareness that we must distinguish between isolation and loneliness. Loneliness is not a bad thing. There is always a part that is not going to appear to others; or not? Yet everyone is convinced. Solitude helps make distant a part of himself with respect to the making, the appearance of things. It is the illusion of a help to reflect with him. I learn new words: If I become hypertrophic, then it is sick. It is the little that I want to see everything: the madness and pain. The ego is inconsistent for the claims and it is incomplete, because he is in the world. Solitude helps prepare resources to survive among the hidden nature and the imagined world. World and nature evoke different tones for everyone: an amazing concert by everyone and for everyone.

Another question is how the isolation status and needs, knowing that social relations feed malaise and discomfort within. Loneliness also accepts the company. The insulation is solved with good will. If the disease is persistent, uneducated and immoral because it does not ask permission, causes each to be isolated: shame, impotence and fatigue. […] ”

* 14 Special Guest: Everything is under control. A body in the mirror

January 15, 2014

Hello,

here I am. For a long time we did not feel dear friends. It was a period of intense reading, exchange of views and experiences with everyone, including readers, and work in progress. One among them is finished and it is, unlike poetry, my first novel presented as a autonomous, and it is not like the others shorter along with miscellaneous other authors. With “Everything is under control. A body in the mirror, “I present a theme overexposed in public opinion as superficial analysis. This argument captures the attention and intrigues many, perhaps for the feature to appear as a result of the remote psychic processes that are fundamental and pervasive in every event of the day. It is, accordingly, the paradox that this issue costuisce strictly a personal matter and present. In public opinion appears to be a double censorship that says the disease as a cause, rather than constitute the symptom and the signal from sinking into the abyss.

What happens when culture and society by determining the split between mind and body, they are seen with the eye of their daughter (technique)? What happens when the will that is intended to pursue manageable goals and reducible in terms of effectiveness, turns his arms to herself? And yet when the eye pompous and deluded of omnipotence, he sees the abandonment and failure always already certified? An unexpected occurrence that is precisely the separate and believed to be weaker, react and expose the surplus of what we in irriducible existence of each.

* 13 Special Guest: Sunday 22, No Fahrenheit 451: The best books you give away, you DO NOT burn them

December 21, 2013

Dear friends, I must point out that I myself attend an appointment:

We writers reagaleremo our books. The writers meet readers in the square, to give their books. This is an important gesture: it is an awareness that the culture is disseminated and never oppressed.
At Christmas, “You yourself A Book.” This book gives it its author directly. At 16.00, in Piazza del Popolo (Rome), December 22 will be giving away our books to passersby.

Img-Jpg

All writers will go to “Piazza del Popolo” (including myself) at 15:50. Everyone will wear a cap or a scarf or a scarf or bandana red. And each one will offer 10 or 20 books WRITTEN BY THEIR themselves, lined with white paper written on it (by hand, with the PC, with a marker) ONLY the book’s title and author’s name. Within the books there will be a bookmark or postcard or business card with signature or dedication.
At 16.00 we will distribute the books to passers-by, asking them to give them away after reading them and we will ask them to comment on our sites / blogs / pages.

The pleasant surprise to be able to say “thank you”

December 15, 2013

The wonder that is accompanied with gratitude, it is always a surprise. Sometimes we imagine ourselves with our loved ones, neighbors or people in the fantasy stories and we look forward to live a life more intense. How many times have we dreamed of reliving the exploits of legendary heroes and historical figures to fit our desires, and how many times we, are happy, we foreshadowed a future yet to come, and perhaps impossible to achieve. And from everything we want originality tapping into what looks interesting, trusting to an imaginary audience. And then when it actually happens, the wonder is accompanied immediately with desired conceived and never confessed.

For a long time the works of Samanta Lai gravitated towards my feelings for both a playful vision is for the power to bring forth a true poetic sense. Two of his works became an integral part of two of my poems for the book “Mutual rebirths.”

Following do with unexpected, really not imagined, Samanta sent me a gift in his original work.

Img - jpg

The emotion and surprise yet, invite everyone to a shared happiness for those who have interest, because the picture depicts an actress that I admire him for his commitment to civil and his interpretive skills. Vanessa Redgrave has always been an idol of mine, because through her work as an actress, she has worked as policy and to claim to full citizenship for all, playing movies with themes of civil and political rights. In particular I remember a film about imprisonment in concentration camps with her marked by blue and gray colors gradually tending to black, where with difficulty trying to survive her companions, she maintains until the end his own humanity. This tired face veiled by white and light gray tones and anemic, she looks a lunar landscape formed by bluish iron that it is composed of a firmament hard and unforgiving.

Despite everything, his face worn down by poverty and suffering in pain received, says the desire to look compassionate toward humanity of everyone. And the frown turns into a smile.

And then: thank you,  Samanta.

* 12 Special Guest: What’s new at the XII Fair “More books, more freedom”

December 4, 2013

From December 5 to 8 will be held in Rome at the Palazzo dei Congressi (located in Piazzale Kennedy, 1), the twelfth edition of “More books, more free,” national fair of small and medium publishers.
As every year, the news will be lots and lots of visitors will certainly be happy about. However, during this year, unlike the previous ones, there will be a novelty that will surely capture the attention of everyone.

In fact, this year, for the free time in Italy, will be present (STAND A 24 – Fuis) the association NBA – No Brand Art, which includes 23 novelists, poets, essayists, editors, translators and promoters, who have decided to promote art focused on the content and autonomy through self-publishing and self-promotion.

The intent is to meet readers and bring their experience of self-publishing and, for those with public publishing house, self-promotion in a professional context.

But what is self-publishing?

The self-publishing allows you to access the publication by managing all the phases with the help of professionals and integrate with their business promotion that offered from publishing traditional. Added to this is the opportunity to access, through translation, markets potentially boundless thanks to online sales channels.

A new short circuit, which promises interesting implications and prospects, especially for emerging authors.

Not only that, through the self-publishing and self-promotion, authors can experiment with new ways of publishing, new genres and publishing formats (interactive books, e-books, etc..), So as to be able to respond more and more to the growing needs of the reader.

Readers in search of new talent will be discovered in the works of the authors independent of quality, a rich supply of original books, readily available and various genres.

An event not to be missed, during the days of the fair, will undoubtedly be the conference “The independent authors, self-publishing and the new frontiers of publishing,” where it comes to this and other issues of self-publishing and self-promotion, which will be held Saturday, December 7 at stand A24 at 16 in collaboration with Fuis.

December 1, 2013

Dear Visitor,

Today I’ll introduce you to the poetry of Lino Milita, author of two anthologies almost twins, leave a few months away from each other, “Mutual rebirths” and “Suspended dreams”.

They have in common, in addition to the skill of Lino, the property of being collected varied, combining different types of art, poetry, photography, painting. They are selfpublished. It is commendable the graphics capability of Lino, who personally supervised the editing and the alternation of poetry and visual art. The fact anthologies appear hymns art and cooperation between artists, the pure, made a careful study and closer ties, which make these vital and rich texts. Note on the price. With 12 € you can buy two books of art, photography, poetry. Books varied, well-set graphically.

You’ll wonder if you are the poems that inspired the works or the reverse, but you will not find a clear answer: Lino dragged and you are done drag, he has inspired and was inspired by involving artists from different parts of Europe.

I hope in the assembly of the interview he had given no idea of what you’ll find in anthologies, adjusting sounds, voice and images into a single video. For sure, you will find valuable encouragement in what Lino says, because he only writes poetry, studying the savoring, it follows the history, origins. There is a precious knowledge, which has enriched me so much.

And once again appeared to enjoy the wonder of everyone: writers and newbies. All together they offered a choral work. And this was much more than the sum of the parts.

And for this purpose, I propose for the event one of the three poems that I have published in the book:

Heartbeat of Love – Lino Milita

I played
and I did not think
to rejoice, involving
the lazy heart of wings,
landing
into the abyss of the gift
Moving in love,
with emotions
emerging, offsetting
embrace the vague,
recognizing
Now that I already loved,
and not I wandered.

The beginning of the tale

November 3, 2013

Here is the moment in which we begin to write relishing the idea that it is something exclusive. We imagine, however, that in one dimension the next someone to read the whole thing and alive. The initial moment to write a verse or a line of a likely novel, compelling, reappeared countless times.

Attempts and fantasies that they summon the immediate birth of the poem, multiply preparatory rites in making this first act that we have seen as safe, immediate and spontaneous. Some write preparing sheets, pens, dictionaries, or sitting at the computer, others in the most unthinkable during the daily chores.

 Img-Jpg

Massimo Troisi and Philippe Noiret, in the film “Il Postino”

The beginning: we imagine stories and verses of poetry. We are looking for places and get closer to the great classical writers, to be immediately petrified. The imagination runs in formulating plots and stories that quickly intersect with slices of our lives, most of the time lying and continually varying scenarios, believing it to have occurred. Or more simply with stubborn will, we want to create a new world. Then comes the block after two lines, or write us with hypnotic casting a line after the other as if we were talking to an imaginary audience.

We tell ourselves a story, with a beginning, a point of conflict, doubt, and we imagine an end to any recovery, or we try to follow the words by queuing a period after another, listening to the sound correlative. If we lose the magic of writing, our body again becomes heavy and it is void of words, as if the texture we were creating was evaporated; so we try to chase wrecks of thought that disappear like steam from a window in the winter that we have just breathed. It all comes back in the silence …. but we do not give up and even if we do not succeed in intent, we still dream with open eyes to start over.

What are you doing for the beginning? What are the rituals that you use in telling the tale of your experience (false or likely)? Which time and place you are looking to start?

Come rinascere da adulti senza arrecare dolore

After my first publication, the book of poems with images “Suspended Dreams”,  I come to another appointment with myself, to offer readers a new share of moods and events of everyday life, which I consider common each of us: “Mutual rebirths.”

The offer is discreet, because every revival that does not deny the past that involves peers. My guess is that any revival is always unanimous, and thus it may represent a genuine and radical transformation.

This collection of 50 poems that are accompanied by pictures, some in color, intended to stimulate and arouse in the reader thinking about the world, about human relationships and about the wonders that each human being carries with him.
